DT C.J.
Byrd 6-3,
180, 4.55 North
Augusta (SC)
Colleges:
Clem, Fla, FSU, Georgia, LSU, Okla, Mich, Tenn. Byrd is one of
the top athletes in the Palmetto State and has attracted the attention of
schools all over the nation. Last year he caught 37 passes for 567 yards and
two scores, excelled on kickoff and punt returns and made 92 tackles, two sacks and intercepted two passes en
route to all-area and all-conference honors. Byrd has offers from all his leaders,
and is also interested in Oklahoma, Michigan and Tennessee. All three of those
schools have offered as well.

Williams 6-1, 187,
4.30 Greenbelt
(MD) E. Roosevelt
Colleges:
Fla, LSU, Mary, Ohio St, Okla, PSU, Texas, UVA, Uconn, FSU, Miami, Pitt, VT,
Tenn, USC. Williams is one of the most highly ranked, and highly
recruited prospects in the nation, regardless of position. He can just about
take his pick of any school in the nation and his verbal commitment will put an
entire fanbase in a frenzy. He has legit 4.3 speed in the 40 and can break a
game open at any moment. As a junior he rushed for 1,363 yards and 22
touchdowns while passing for 558 yards and seven scores. He returned seven
kickoffs for an average of about 40 yards, took two punts back for touchdowns
and intercepted three passes. The coach of Eleanor Roosevelt has called him the
best player he's ever coached. Williams has offers from all the schools listed
above, in addition to offers from Kansas State and dozens of others.
AR Fenn
Allen 6-5, 210, 4.70 Concord
(NC) Robinson
Colleges:
Duke, UNC, NC State, WFU, ECU. Allen is a tall, lanky prospect with a
lot of upside, but no one is sure what position he's best suited to play in
college. He even played a little quarterback last year for Robinson. Allen
probably projects as a tight end at the next level if he shows he has good
hands and can run routes. He has the ability to put on weight and become a lot
stronger. He's receiving attention from just about every school in the state.
AR Greg
Boone 6-4,
245, 4.60 Chesapeake
(VA) Oscar Smith
Colleges:
Mary, UNC, PSU, UVA, VT. Rarely will you find such a versatile or impressive
athlete as Boone, who has the size, strength and speed to play several
positions in college. Last year he rushed for 350 yards and eight touchdowns,
completed 75-of-140 passes for 1,400 yards with 14 touchdowns and five
interceptions and recorded 48 tackles and six interceptions. He was first team
all-district and second team all-region. All of Boone's favorites have offered,
as have Syracuse, Pitt and others.
AR Thomas
Cathcart 5-11, 160, 4.40 Gastonia
(NC) Hunter-Huss
Colleges:
NC State, Duke, Neb, UNC, S Car. Cathcart may not be the biggest guy to
take the field on any given Friday night, but each week you can beat he'll be
one of the fastest. With great agility, body control and an explosive first
step, Cathcart is one of the more exciting players in the state. As a junior he
rushed for 800 yards and 13 touchdowns while recording 390 yards on 13 catches
with five scores. He also broke up eight passes in the secondary. He doesn't
have any offers yet but is hearing a lot from in-state schools.
AR Mike
Rinfretti 6-3, 260, 4.70 Bunn (NC)
Colleges:
Verbal-WFU. Rinfretti's football stats are very impressive. Last season, his first at linebacker,
he made 159 tackles (over 12 per game), one sack, eight tackles for loss,
forced four fumbles, recovered two fumbles, plus one fumble returned for a
touchdown, made two interceptions and blocked one punt. As a tight end, he made 21 catches
for 300 yards and three touchdowns.
AR Brandon
Woods 6-2, 200, 4.55 Durham (NC)
Southern
Colleges:
Verbal-UVA. Another Cavalier verbal commitment from Southern Durham,
Woods brings even more versatility to an already large UVa recruiting class.
His coach has called him the best defensive back he's ever coached, and many
others agree that he's already one of the top wide receivers in the state as
well. He has a big, strong frame and plays physical on the field. Virginia was
the first school to offer Woods.
