Velocity-PrepStar Dream Team defensive back, Jerimy Finch (Indianapolis, IN, Warren Central) signed his Letter of Intent with the Florida Gators early Wednesday morning at his high school.
Finch, 6'2", 200 pounds, had given his verbal commitment to Indiana just a few weeks ago, and that seemed like a done deal for all involved. However, after a weekend visit to Gainesville, Finch has had an apparent change of heart. Finch did not commit on his official visit to Florida, so many have thought that Indiana was still in the mix. Up until now that is.
Jerimy Finch is a very talented free safety prospect. Finch was one of the top players in the Midwest region, and he is the #4 ranked defensive back in the nation. He joins top-rated safety in Ft.Lauderdale's Major Wright to give the Gators a couple Dream Teamers in the defensive backfield in this class.
Finch made 65 tackles, two sacks, and two picks as a senior. He finished his prep career with close to 250 tackles and 20 interceptions. He played on a Warren Central team that won their fourth consecutive state championship.
Finch's signing adds another top 250 prospect to the top recruiting class of 2007, in Florida.
