Joe McNamera, an exceptionally athletic lineman, both ways, from Weston Cypress Springs has decided to play for Wisconsin. The PrepStar All-Regioin athlete had initially committed to Stanford, but thought better of it and switched to the Badgers when the opportunity became available. He visited this past weekend.

He also received offers from Florida Atlantic (visited January 16th, Florida International (visited January 23rd and Marshall (visited January 15th), plus was projected for offers from new Big Ten school Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Kentucky, Iowa State, Bowling Green and Coloardo Stte.

McNameral is 6-3 and weighs 275 pounds. He is exceptionally quick and is a superb drive-blocker.

McNamera is the twenty-fourth player to pledge Wisconsin this year. He can play either way, but is regarded as the best offensive lineman ever to play for Cypress Springs.
