Shannon bBrown, who is about to be named a PrepStar All-American inside linebacker, has committed to the Crimson Tide. The Adel, Georgia, Coon County, product turned down offers and/or strong interest from Texas Tech, Clemson, East Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, North Carolina, Florida, Nebraska, Ohio State and Tennessee.

Brown is 6-2 tips the scales at a little over 235 pounds.

Brown is a brutal hitter with very quick and agile feet. Videotape shows that he needs work on pass defense and strength, but, for the most part, he is an impressive catch for the Crimson Tide.

Kirby Smart appears to have been the lead recruiter on Shannon. Another good catch for Smart.
