Inside linebacker Kendall Thompson, a PrepStar All-Region player from Carthage, Tecas, has jumped early and committed to Texas. Thompson picked the Longhorns over offers from Arkansas, Houston, Missouri and Tulas, plus strong interest and anticipated offers from LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU and Tulsa.

Thompson is 6-2, weighs 235 pounds and has been timed at just under 4.7 seconds in the forty-yard dash.

Kendall played as a sopohomores, notably making seven tackles for loss and three interceptions.

Better as a junior, he made e140 tacklesd, fifteen tackles for loss, six sacks and three interceptions. He is a strong bet to play as a redshirt freshman, perhaps sooner (no pun intended).
