Steve Edmond, a PrepStar Dream Team All-American outside linebacker from Daingerfield, Texas, has committed to Texas. Mac McWhorter and Will Muscham took this standout away from the likes of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Texas Christian, Texas Tech and Southern Cal, all offering scholarships.

Edmond is 6-3, weighs 225 pounds and hs b een timed, reportedly, at under 4.6 seconds in the forty-yard dash.

The numbers are stunning. Steve made 182 tackles, thirty-five tackles for loss, five interceptions, two for touchdowwns and one fumble recovery return for a touchdown.

In 2008 he made 61 tackles and had twenty tackles for loss.

Edmond is a player that no one is going to run or throw at, period. He is a very smart player with the obvious ability to sense players and be in the right place when the plays are going down.

The rest of the Big 12 and potential BCS opponents may not like him or his team, but true fans are going to like the way he plays...both at the collegiate level and in the NFL.
