Highly regarded guard Ramar Smith, from Detroit King and Kent Prep, in Connecticut, has committed to Connecticut. Smith had narrowed his choices to also include Arkansas and Michigan State before deciding for the Huskies.
Smith, who measures up at 6-1 and weighs 185 pounds, is regarded as one of the very best point guards for either Detroit area or New England. He has, reportedly, resolved any academic questions.
Smith is the third player to pledge Connecticut this year.
